OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #1: THAT’S WE CULTURE
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Tree bearing nutmeg. Fruit of the nutmeg is open indicating it’s ready to sell at market
Ripe and ready fruit indicating next stasge in process
Natural version of Grenada logo.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
Are we “Pure Grenada” or the “Isle of Spice?” We are both. Represents the National colours, our old slogan, it’s natural. Hardwork, strain and sweat signifies the people in history. The old ready nutmeg has seen stressful conditions whereas the young one behind is not ready.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
National colours and the flag, as a people.
Suffering yet in a natural environment.
Struggle but still healthy.
Nature – fauna of Grenada, organic environment.
