OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #6: Grenada's Future
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Golden apple trees
Lush vegetation, the sea, and the horizon.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
I’m hoping that the past, agriculture, will return. We’re importing and not planting enough, e.g. banana to make chips and export. What about preserves from plums. Not fully industrialized but more done here in Grenada.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
This is our culture, we have enough banana trees to support our country.
We don’t export jelly, but we should export more golden apples and bananas.
People should plant and process more which would be better for us in the future.
