OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #4: This is not the Grenada I once Knew
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
A lot of houses, big wall houses, people don’t use wood anymore, at one time that hill was a garden.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
When I was small I used to walk up and get mangoes there. Only houses that taking over the place now. There is a loss of farming and loss of that income.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
If my grandmother came back she would say that that is not Grenada
As population increases there is more construction
Corn, peas, yams now you not seeing anything, even where there are no houses there is still much less agriculture. More imports.
