PHOTOVOICE PROMPT #6: Grenada's Future

What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)

Plants, PVC pipes, coastal area.

Preserving an area. Making a mangrove?

Keeping the shoreline.

Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

I wanted to show the start of the mangrove. People have to plant this and it’s to control the sand and keep the land form and attract the rain. It’s a living mangrove. Ivan destroyed a lot and the beaches fell apart.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

In truth, the flora and fauna needs preserving.

Preservation, care, renewed spirit by improving.

People are trying to deal with coastal erosion.

Growth, prosperity, and energy for the future.
