OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #1: THAT’S WE CULTURE
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Coastline, capital city, town, docks, the port, rocks
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
I just saw the beauty of the Carenage from where I work and thought this is part of our culture. It used to be one of the busiest places on the island.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
There used to be a cinema, showing movies on Fridays and Saturdays
Then and Now
Development changes things, now the cruiseships come in on the other side of town.
The water looks so calm. The sky so blue with big white clouds. Some people come to the Caribbean and that’s all they and to see.
