Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

It reminded me of my favorite time of the year.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

The ripening of mangoes on the trees marks the beginning of summer.

A source of supplemental income for some families, who sells bags of mangoes for five dollars each.

During the school summer vacations kids would use mangoes as a staple food item which allowed them to stay away from home all day while playing at the beach or other social activities with friends.

There are several varieties of mangoes grown on the island; they are all sweet and juicy.
