OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #1: THAT’S WE CULTURE
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Overcast sky. Mountaintop
Airport runway. Community (ie schools). An old area.
Dry season (dry grass)
State/status of the country (high mountain = high taxes / political status e.g. struggling – “dry” patches)
A place that should be fenced in and maintained.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
The runway and playground was the old gas station.
The mountain was Carib habitat with many historical stones. The Ca-Air is the mountain peak, viewing point. Pearks is a very historical community. It contains stream, cave, and mystical “cup and saucer” which is folklore.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
Green (middle class) and brown (majority) struggle. The “struggle” is real (like the struggling landscape)
A quiet community.
