Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

Aware of history (a glimpse). Original stone done by native (Tainos) prior to colonialism. Life, intelligence, happiness, creativity shown in the image like a “jester”. Peace and happiness during this period. Nature has protected and preserved over years.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

Represents a happy tribe rather than a “warring” one.

Socialisation of Grenadians as a people.

History awareness beyond the “common” taught history (e.g. prior 1500s)

“Nancy” stories linked to the comical/jester role in storytelling.

Ability to make people laugh.

Related to how artists represent society throughout times.

Storytelling is visual as well as verbal.
