PHOTOVOICE PROMPT #5: Lost & Found

What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)

It was a hotel once they are putting it back. I see construction, equipment etc.

Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

I wasn’t too sure about what was there before but I know there used to be a lot of trees. They are putting down this hotel. Different people have a different take on it. Some have issues with the loss of all the trees etc. others are looking at the economic aspect of it. The fact that people are vocal about the loss of environment it seems like a revival of a conservationist attitude that was inherent back in the day with organic farming etc.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

Silver Sands used to be there. It was demolished. We lost one now one being revived.

Employment was once there and it is coming back.
