PHOTOVOICE PROMPT #4: This is not the Grenada I once Knew

What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)

Houses in a row, similar style, close together.

Lots of flowers, suburban area.

Palm trees, neat, safe area

Nothing out of place.

Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

Growing up as a little girl this was an estate with sugar cane, bananas, big trees. You?d never believe that this was Dunfirmline estate. The third house has the hibiscus flower which has now died out, it was like the national flower once.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group?alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

Growth and development.

Sugarcane to ?Janet? houses to this type of housing scheme which is affordable for people.

People get the opportunity to own a house.

People started living here after Ivan (hurricane) and board houses got smashed up.
