PHOTOVOICE PROMPT #6: Grenada's Future

What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)

Black paper, board or mounting paper, hands scrapping it or grabbing it, leg, hints of a face.

Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)

It represents life and knew beginnings. I see Grenada as an empty canvas, everyday you paint a piece. There are mishaps and faults along the way but when it is over you have the whole. And also you can paint over mistakes too.

What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)

Grenada small still, it’s young still. It’s waiting to burst open.

She could also be representing artists in Grenada. People don’t see art as a main job, Grenada doesn’t appreciate local artists so it’s a struggle.

Black makes me think of emptiness.

The future is not one set thing, it will always change.
