OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #5: Lost & Found
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
A copper, an old time broken down one.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
The copper is a historical artifact and you don’t find much of them in Grenada these days because they would either sell them or ship them down to Trinidad or something. I cherish them because they were used in the rum making process. Even though we don’t use them for the original purpose we still use them, You find them with fish ponds in them and lillies.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
A part of our heritage because in the old time our ancestors used to use that to store water, to make cassava fareen and so forth. And it is here there everywhere, even if it is not so abundant.
