OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #5: Lost & Found
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Carenage, boats, industrial buildings, the sea
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
While growing up when people talk about the carenage and lagoon they were centers of trading. It’s still full of culture because we will always remember it for what it once was. It seems like some people are trying to revive the buildings.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
It represents development.
When they took the cruiseships from there it became dead because you didn’t find tourists or vendors anymore. But now they put the hospital, courthouse, pharmacy, agri-vendors etc.
