OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #1: THAT’S WE CULTURE
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
Coconut and banana trees
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
Coconut and banana trees are grown all over the island.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
Coconut and banana trees are daily staples.
There are at least seven different types of banana trees, some of the bananas must be cooked first and some can be eaten raw.
Coconut is used in baking, we drink the water and the milk is used in cooking.
Coconut trees grow up to be really tall.
Banana trees are not so strong and are usually blown down in the strong wind.
