OAS/GNT Sustainable Heritage Endorsement ProgrammePHOTOVOICE PROMPT #1: THAT’S WE CULTURE
What do you see here? (Addressed to the whole group)
fruits, vendors, selling produce, old table, elderly women, local fruits, maybe foreign fruits too.
Why did you take this photo? (Addressed to the photographer)
Culture is a way of life. On a daily basis, people sell by the road to earn an income. This is part of our culture.
What is really happening here? (Addressed to the whole group—alternatively what does the photograph represent?)
The Caribbean, I don’t know if you would see that in other countries.
Canadians are surprised that people buy from by the road.
That’s the vendors life, that is what they do all day
They look tired
Sun maybe hot
Grown by the vendor
Could be stolen?
Or maybe bought from farmers
